Harmony at Rutherford is an active adult community for adults 55+ who wish to maintain their independent lifestyle but no longer want the responsibility of home ownership and maintenance.
Residents can choose additional services a la carte, including housekeeping, laundry, garbage removal, maintenance services and dog walking, but are not required to pay for any services they do not want or need.
Retirement residences are for seniors who require a higher level of care including health care and all meals.
All of our suites are designed for comfort and independence. They come unfurnished, allowing you to decorate with your own personal belongings. Each suite includes a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher), in-suite laundry, a large patio or balcony, and modern finishes like luxury vinyl flooring and LED lighting. For convenience, suites also feature safety elements like ceiling fans with remotes.
We offer an all-inclusive lifestyle where one monthly payment covers most of your needs. Your rent includes:
Our community offers a unique and flexible dining experience. Instead of set meal times and assigned seating, we provide residents with a monthly “Dining Club Credit” to use at our on-site franchised restaurant, Tutti Frutti. This allows them to dine when they want — for breakfast, lunch or dinner — and with whom they choose. We also host special events monthly, such as BBQ evenings. A private dining room can also be booked by the residents for family gatherings and celebrations.
Our building features a wide array of amenities that residents can enjoy 24/7. These include:
Resident safety is our top priority. Our modern building, completed in November 2022, was constructed with fire-resistant materials. We have also installed an advanced air filtration system to ensure clean, fresh air throughout the building. For personal security, we have staff on-site 24/7 and provide each resident with a personal emergency pendant equipped with GPS on the grounds of our building. Common areas and suites are designed to be accessible and safe.
This is a common question, as needs can evolve. Our community is designed for independent living, and many residents now or down the road arrange for third-party home care providers such as Harbor of Health who have an office in our community for help in their suite. Residents can coordinate with these care providers to ensure you get the support you need while remaining in the comfort of your home.
We have a full and diverse activity calendar of events based on residents’ interests and hobbies. Residents can participate in everything from fitness classes and games to movie nights, live entertainment and educational lectures. Our community bus also provides transportation for group outings to local attractions, shopping centers, and community events.
Many retirement communities have their own pet policies. The best approach is to welcome pets while setting clear expectations. A good answer would be: “Yes, we are a pet-friendly community because we know they are part of the family. Please contact us directly to discuss our specific pet policy, which may include details on size or temperament.”
Absolutely. This is your home, and guests are welcome at any time. For the security of all residents, our main doors are locked after hours, but visitors can easily gain entry by ringing the doorbell. If you have guests who wish to stay overnight, they are welcome to stay in your suite. We also offer a guest suite that can be booked for a fee (please check with front desk).
